Hey you, I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Lydia – founder of We Got You Boo, mashed potato enthusiast, Lake District local, mountain hiker and your soon-to-be sister. I’m 32, originally from Yorkshire, and if you’d told me a few years ago I’d be running a friendship community for women across the UK, I would’ve cried happy tears on the spot.
For the past 7+ years I worked remotely as a marketing consultant, travelling the world and living the so-called “dream.” But the truth? Even with an amazing life on paper, there were so many moments I felt totally alone. I didn’t always know who to turn to for advice, a vent, or a hype-up - and I knew I wasn’t the only one feeling that way.
So in 2019, while living in Cape Town, I started the kind of space I wished existed - one where women could make real friends, feel seen, and have people to go to when life feels a bit much. And honestly? It changed everything.
Fast forward to today and…
…We Got You Boo is now the UK’s leading (& most exciting!) friendship community - built for girls who want more connection, more adventure, and a whole lot more fun.
We exist because the truth is, way too many of us feel lonely. Studies show 1 in 3 women don’t feel like they have solid friendships they can rely on - and that stat only gets higher in your 20s and 30s.
But it doesn’t have to stay that way - I promise!! Loneliness absolutely sucks, none of us should have to deal with that.
